Mayor Robert McNamara and the Board of Trustees hereby invite the entire community to the grand opening of the Flower Hill Park sports wall and swings.
Cutting the ribbon will be Senator Elaine Phillips along with former Senator and County Executive candidate Jack Martins. Senator Martins initiated the grant that gave us the funding for the sports wall at the urging of then Mayor Phillips, who has followed through as Senator to make this a reality.
The swings have four bays that accommodate children from toddler and up. The sports wall is designed for use for lacrosse, tennis, handball and paddleball. With the existing play and climbing equipment and basketball court, Flower Hill Park is indeed a family recreation destination.
